Club Penguin Times Issue #376

SCIENTIFIC ANNOUNCEMENT

Gary the Gadget Guy announces his new time machine.

By Gary — Attention scientists! Attention adventurers! Attention Chester! What do we all have in common? We all want to time travel. So let’s time travel! After months of work, I have invented a time machine—and I want to go see some dinosaurs!

SCIENTIFIC ANNOUNCEMENT Continued

Gadzooks indeed! Here’s how it works— using energy I harvested from the Meteor last year, I accelerate a localized quantum field to create a tachonic wormhole. Simple! I call my time machine the Time Trekker 3000! Mostly because I made it from an old Snow Trekker, that I had originally turned into an Ice Cream Trekker. It’s a long story. In any case, I have already begun experimenting with time travel, and I'm pleased with the results. Ergo, if you spotted me in the Time Trekker sometime in the past, that was not swamp gas! It was me! I’m just putting the finishing touches on it, to make sure it’s comfortable and doesn’t alter the space time continuum. I should have it ready to go by Jan. 17. And the first place I want to go is the Age of the Dinosaurs! So clear your calendar and set your watches. We’re going to have the time of our lives!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Prepare for a wacky, wonky, scary, crazy, chilly, furry, festive year!

By Aunt Arctic — 2013 is here—and there’s no time to waste! I hit the streets on Jan. 1 to get the scoop on the next big thing coming to Club Penguin. I ran into Gary and asked what he was up to. He said, “Inventing dinosaur repellant!” At the time, that didn’t make much sense to me.I spotted Cadence in the Clothes Shop, who grabbed me and said, “Auntie A! I’m gonna be real with you—working on a big event for February. Stars. Fashion. Awards. Music. Epic. Gotta roll!”Finally, I caught up with PH outside the Pet Shop. She was examining some strange feathers. “Curious...” she said, and walked away. I’ll keep the island updated on any other interesting rumors I hear.

A S K AUNT ARCTIC

Dear Aunt Arctic, What are your New Year’s Resolutions? –Luke Ahed
Dear Luke Ahed, Great question indeed! The New Year snuck up on me somewhat, and I haven’t given much thought yet to 2013. But there’s no time like the present, I say! Last year, my resolution was to get better at igloo decorating. It’s hard to say if I’ve succeeded, but I certainly have a lot more fun doing it now. That’s a win in my book. What lies ahead? Recently, I’ve been thinking about adventure. It’s been a while since I’ve planned a good and proper one. And there are plenty of mysteries on Club Penguin to explore. Over the last few months, I’ve received lots of questions about polar bears, bat-puffles in telescopes, snow ninja myths, and as always—Iceberg tipping. So let’s look for some answers. There you have it. More adventures. My 2013 resolution. Let’s go exploring.

I’m a bit busy now, but hopefully I’ll be out and about at an event soon.

Dear Aunt Arctic, Which party are you coming to next? –Parr T Thyme
Dear Parr T Thyme, Like any respectable penguin, if I had my way, I wouldn’t miss a single party for any reason. Even if I lost my beanie or something, I would celebrate. The show must go on! However, my schedule does tend to be a bother. Running the newspaper, reading mail, and helping to direct a few other projects doesn’t leave me with a lot of free time. Even when I do make it to a party, I am often busy interviewing penguins to get the latest scoop. So waddling around and socializing is something of a rare treat. What I enjoy most of all is celebrating with all of you. So I suspect that I shall be freeing up some time for a party soon. Maybe I can get Herbert to takeover the newspaper again, for a short break... Just kidding!
